original-colour lithograph, EXTREMELY RARE.

The covers are filled with advertising for F.M. Spaulding & Co., Claremont, New Hampshire, Funeral Directors and Embalmers, and dealers in crockery, stoves and ranges, wall paper, carriage trimmings etc. Inside the cover is an illustration, Uncle Sam’s Family Tree, depicting wars from the American Revolution (at the roots) up through War with Spain (at the top branches). This map shows the “Seat of War” in Manila and the rest of the Philippine Islands. This is the same map by F. Cram that appeared in Cram’s atlases but in different colour and presentation.
