Map from Miguel Seguí’s renowed Enciclopedia Ilustrada Seguí, by Centro Editorial Artistico in Barcelona. From 1897 to 1907, Centro Editorial Artistico published the art and literary magazine Album Salon…, the first Spanish magazine illustrated in colour, and from 1909, the Enciclopedia Ilustrada Segui.

This plate illustrates the late Spanish administrative military-political district in northern Mindanao, highlighting key coastal features such as Sindangan Bay and Dapitan port. It reflects the publisher’s effort to document regional Philippine geography during the transitional era following Spanish rule.
