This book includes a table of contents and a list of typographical errors. The author (Francisco Javier de Moya y Jiménez) was an Artillery Commander and numerary of the Real Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País de Filipinas. The work was previously published as an article in the Revista de España (1882-1883); it is divided into two parts. This is an exposition that provides useful information, but questionable in the historical part. It also contains a catalogue of Filipiniana materials (pp. 233-247).
