EXTREMELY RARE view of Manila from folio atlas of ‘Quinze ans de voyages autour du monde’. Probably the rarest and largest lithograph of Manila done in the 19th Century Lithograph done by the famous Paris house of Rigo Frères. Image shows a bridge over the river and the harbour beyond. In the foreground several figures in various costumes stand in a group. Gabriel Lafond de Lurcy who departed on his second voyage around the world in 1828, his description of his travels was published in 1840.

Condition

Repaired tears in right edge, central crease.
