EXTREMELY RARE view of Manila Bay and Corregidor from folio atlas of ‘Quinze ans de voyages autour du monde’, published by Societe des publications cosmopolites, Paris. Probably the largest lithograph done with a view of Manila Bay and Corregidor in the 19th Century. Lithograph done by the famous Paris house of Rigo Frères. Image shows a view of Manila Bay, in the foreground a camp has been made and several figures in various costumes stand in a group. Gabriel Lafond de Lurcy departed on his second voyage around the world in 1828, his description of his travells was published in 1840.

Condition

Repaired tears in right edge, vertical crease.
