Map #429 from the French edition of one of many atlases, after de L’Isle, Allard, Jansson, de Wit, Ottens et al, published by the heirs/successors to Pierre Mortier’s famous publishing house in Amsterdam: Covens and Mortier, which lasted from 1721 to c. 1862. Johannes Covens I (1697-1774) and brother-in-law Cornelis Mortier (1699-1783), son of Pieter (Pierre) Mortier (1663-1711), built one of the most famous publishing houses of its time.
