Map from Miguel Seguí’s renowed Enciclopedia Ilustrada Seguí, by Centro Editorial Artistico in Barcelona. From 1897 to 1907, Centro Editorial Artistico published the art and literary magazine Album Salon…, the first Spanish magazine illustrated in colour, and from 1909, the Enciclopedia Ilustrada Segui.

This map clearly delineates the coastlines, road networks, and central topographical features, most notably Lake Taal and its volcano. It served as a concise visual reference to accompany the encyclopaedia’s entry on this economically vital agricultural province.
