Curated Historical Collection

As Filipinos celebrated the 128th anniversary of Philippine Independence, Manila in Print, in collaboration with The Manila Cathedral and the Gallery of Prints, opened a special historical exhibition at The Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, Manila.
Running from June 12 to 14, 2026, Manila in Print featured antique prints, historical maps, and rare visual materials depicting The Manila Cathedral, Intramuros, and the rich history of Manila. Through original artworks, cartographic treasures, and centuries-old visual records, the exhibition offered visitors a unique opportunity to explore the nation's heritage and rediscover the stories that shaped the country's capital.
The exhibit coincided with the Manila Cathedral's Independence Day Open House, which granted the public rare access to restricted areas such as the crypt, choir loft, and roof deck. Guided tours and pipe organ concerts further enriched the experience, drawing pilgrims, tourists, and history enthusiasts throughout the celebration.
More than a showcase of historical artifacts, Manila in Print served as a reminder of Manila's enduring legacy and the importance of preserving the cultural and historical treasures that continue to define Filipino identity.
